Chinese

Back in Marshfield we had a go-to chinese place (China Chef); however, in Eau Claire, we've been to really good asian places, but they were all kind of unique and special but didn't offer that take-out chinese type of food (you know where you pick it up and you got rice up the wazoo packed into a tiny box).

I'm sure those places exist here, but we have never taken the opportunity to find them, until now :) . Earlier this year we had recieved a flyer in the mail for China Wok, a new asian place that opened up on Golf Rd. We thought, hey, this food looks pretty good lets try it sometime. They have all your typical take-out asian food, you can buy it in pints and quarts, at decent prices, they even have lunch menus.

On Friday it was kinda a laid back day so I decided to try China Wok out. Wow! I didn't regret that decision!

The actual location of the restaurant is really small, they have one table that can seat four people, but pretty much its all kitchen. But since it's take out, john tells me that doesnt matter anyway. We called and were told to come 30 minutes later, but I got there early and it was done already.

We ordered 2 qts of chicken, 2 qts fried rice, and 4 egg/spring rolls. We got it for under $35, they even included a quart of white rice too. We had so much food we had really big meals for Friday and Saturday. It was awesome.

If you care about restaurant appearance (inside) then this place rates an 9. It was a really small building and when you walk in you're practically a meter away from the food being cooked. But the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was amazing!

If you don't care about how the restaurant looks, then this is a solid 10. I would definitely eat here again.

My fortune cookies said some thing about wiggling and rainbows, which is also awesome.
